Juice-y? First Photos of Electric 2013 Fiat 500E Released [2012 L.A. Auto Show]
It’s orange. And white. And makes us think of Creamsicles. It’s the electrified Fiat 500E, which we first saw in concept form almost three years ago; the production car finally will debut at the Los Angeles auto show later this month. It also will make an appearance on the American Music Awards this Sunday, so there’s that.
- Comparison Test: 2012 Fiat 500 Abarth vs. Mini John Cooper Works
- Long-Term Road Test Update: 2012 Fiat 500 Sport
- Short Take Road Test: 2012 Fiat 500C
The photos show that the 500E will get its very own wheel design and an odd-looking, white lower chin strap fascia, as well as rocker panels and a rear spoiler that resemble pieces from the racy 500 Abarth. (We’re thinking the 500E will sound a teensy bit less raucous than the Abarth, however.) Inside, the car looks largely the same as petroleum-swilling 500 models, white and blood-orange detailing notwithstanding. One unique feature, however, is the pushbutton gear selector we spied in a 500E mule, which replaces the standard shifter. Full details on the 500E will be available when it debuts in the City of Angels on November 28.
